Korean Fried Chicken Recipe


Ingredients

·         6 pounds Chicken
·         2 tsp Salt
·         2 tsp Ground black pepper
·         ½ cup Plain Flour
·         1 cup Potato starch powder
·         2 Eggs
·         2 tsp Baking Soda
·         ½ cup Sweet rice flour
·         Canola oil for deep fry
·         8 cloves of Garlic
·         1 ½ cup Ketchup
·         ½ cup Hot pepper paste
·         2 tbsp Vinegar
·         2 tsp Sesame seeds
·         1 ½ cup Rice syrup
Preparation
Wash the chicken chunks and put them into a large bowl. Sprinkle black pepper powder and salt over it and mix well and put it aside for about half an hour. Then add to it the potato starch, plain flour, sweet rice flour, eggs and baking soda. Mix all these ingredients well with chicken chunks. Now heat oil on medium heat and fry the chicken chunks. Fry them until they turn into light brown colour for about ten minutes. Take them out, put them aside for ten minutes and then fry them again. Now take another fry pan and heat 1 ½ tsp oil in it. Add minces garlic cloves to it and cook for about a minute. Now add ketchup, rice syrup, and pepper paste and cook it stirring continuously for a few minutes. Now add vinegar to it and cook it stirring for another minute. Sauce is ready. Add chicken chunks to it and coat the double fried chicken with it. Now remove from heat. Sprinkle sesame seeds onto it and serve.
