Beauty tips
Cook the carrots. After cooling mash them. Mix it with honey to make a paste. Stir 1 tbsp of olive oil and squeeze a few drops of fresh lemon juice into the face mask mixture. Mix mineral water to provide the face mask with a creamy consistency. However, don’t add too much of water as the face mask would then become too watery. Gently apply over your face. Leave it on for 15 minutes. When dry, rinse off with cool water. Observe the results and be assured to use this mask as often as you can.
Dark skin on elbow:
Mix carrot, sugar and salt. Apply some oil on the elbow and then rub the elbow area with this regularly. This will remove the dark spots on elbow.
Exfoliating the skin naturally
Take one carrot and grate it. Mix a spoon of sugar granules to the grated carrot. Apply this mix on your face and neck and massage gently in circular movements. It is a cheap and effective way to get rid of the dirt and dead skin cells. Carrots mixed with sugar granules works as an excellent exfoliate for the skin.

Mix 4 drops of oil into 2 teaspoons of a carrier oil such as almond or apricot kernel. Never rub neat oil directly onto your skin - any pure essential oil can burn.
Carrots Face Mask
Cook carrots, then mash. Add a spoon of honey to the carrot paste. Apply this paste on your face smoothly and let it on for 10 to 15 minutes. Don’t apply it for longer time as it may leave its color to extra fair complexion. In the end simply rinse with warm water. The results are amazing your skin will have a natural glow and will become healthy and beautiful with every application.

How to apply?
     I.        Apply the mixture of carrot juice and basin. Leave it till it dries and wash the face. Skin will glow.
   II.        Make a paste of carrot, milk powder and sugar and apply on face. This will increase the face glow. Apply once in a week minimum.
Oily skin:
Make carrot, orange juice and sugar paste and apply. It is so good to avoid oily nature of skin.
Whiteheads/Blackheads:
Mix grated carrot, sugar powder and salt. Apply this on face for 20 minutes. Then massage face in circular motion. It will remove whiteheads and blackheads very naturally and mildly.

Face pack
Make a face pack of carrot in a mixer/grinder and apply this as face pack. Leave it for 20 min. and wash it off with cold water.

Dark skin around neck:
Take carrot, lemon juice and sugar powder. Mix well. Apply oil on the neck and do a massage with above carrot mix. Carrot juice also helps to reduce blemishes and prevents wrinkles too.

Carrot is good for damaged skin:

Prepare 3 big size carrots, and then make the carrot juice. Take half a glass of carrot juice; add a half teaspoon of cheese and a half teaspoon of sour cream. Mix all that ingredients. Use that mixture on the area under the eye at bedtime. The next day, wash face with warm water. Do this treatment once a week to get maximum results.
Makeup enhancer:
Before applying makeup apply a pack of carrot and orange and do a circular massage. Wash it off with cold water after 20 min. Then apply make makeup. This will enhance the makeup effect.
Some Important Tips to use Carrots:
  • Get the refrigerated carrots. Carrot will lose its sweetness and crispness if left unwrapped at room temperature.
  • Experiments have shown that eating lightly-cooked carrots is much more beneficial than eating raw carrots, which confirms the ancient wisdom in traditional Chinese medicine.
  • Juicing a carrot removes the indigestible fiber. Thus, the nutrients in it are available to the body in much larger quantities than if the carrot was eaten whole.
  • The deeper the orange color, the more carotenoids (source of vitamin A) it contains.
  • Carrots should also be stored away from apples, pears, potatoes and other fruits and vegetables that produce ethylene gas since it will cause them to become bitter.
  • If you purchase carrot roots with attached green tops, the tops should be cut off before storing in the refrigerator since they will cause the carrots to wilt prematurely as they pull moisture from the roots.
  • Carrots have tough walls that the body may have problem with. So if you love to nibble carrots raw, cooking them just until crisp-tender will make their nutrients more accessible to the body.
  • Of all of the cooking methods we tried when cooking carrots, our favorite is Healthy Steaming. We think that it provides the greatest flavor and is also a method that allows for concentrated nutrient retention. To Healthy Steamed carrots, fill the bottom of the steamer with 2 inches of water and bring to a rapid boil. Slice carrots ¼-inch thick and steam for 5 minutes. Transfer to a bowl.
