Easy Apple Pie Recipe

For Pie Crust
Ingredients:
·         2 ½  cups all-purpose flour, plus extra for rolling
·         1 cup (8 ounces) unsalted butter, very-cold, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
·         1 teaspoon sugar
·         6 to 8 tbsp ice water
·         1 teaspoon salt
Method for Crust:
Combine flour, salt, and sugar in a food processor and pulse to mix. Add butter and pulse 6 to 8 times, until mixture resembles coarse meal, with pea size pieces of butter. Add ice water 1 tbsp at a time, pulsing until mixture just begins to clump together. If the dough doesn't hold together, add a little more water and pulse again. Too much water will make the crust tough. Roll it to make crusts.
Filling:
Ingredients:
·         1 ½ kg fresh apples, peeled, cored and chunked
·         ½ tbsp lemon juice
·         ½ tbsp softened butter
·         1 cup sugar, powdered
·         1 tsp cinnamon powder
·         ¼ tbsp corn starch
·         1 tsp sugar powder
·         2 tsp melted butter
Preparation:
Place the chunked apples in a large bowl and add the lemon juice. Mix well. Add sugar powder and cinnamon powder and mix well. Then add corn starch and mix so that corn starch is no more visible. Now take a glass bowl large enough to place the pie crust exactly fit in it. On it place the apples and pour onto it the remaining juice that is left in the bowl after taking out the apples chunks. Now make the pea size pieces of butter and place them on the apples. Top with other pie crust. Press down the pie crust edges to blend with each other. Make small cuts on the top so that the moisture may evaporate from the pores. Then brush the melted butter on the top crust and dust with sugar powder. Bake for about 1 hour at 375 F. Apple Pie is ready.
