Homemade Apple sauce


Ingredients:
  • 6 cups apples - peeled, cored and chopped
  • ¾  cup water
  • ½ tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 stick cinnamon stick
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • ½  cup white sugar
Preparation:
        Put all ingredients into a large pot. Cover and bring to boil. Lower heat and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes. Remove from heat. Remove cinnamon sticks. Mash with potato masher. Applesauce is ready to serve. It freezes easily and lasts for about one year.
