Stuffed Bitter Melons (Qeema Bharay Karele)

Ingredients:

·         2 Medium Sized Onion
·         6 Medium Sized Bitter Melons (Karellay)
·         1 Kg Mince Meat
·         ½ Cup Fresh Coriander
·         7-8 Green Chilies
·         Salt to Taste
·         1 tsp Cumin Seeds
·         1 tsp Red Chili Powder
·         ½ tsp Turmeric Powder
·         1 tsp Coriander Powder
·         1 inch Ginger
·         7-8 Cloves Garlic
·         Cooking Oil
Preparation:


Peel the bitter melons, remove the seeds and pour 2-3 tbsp salt onto them. Meanwhile cut the tomatoes into small pieces. Make a fine paste of ginger and garlic. Chop the onion and heat oil in a skillet. Now add the chopped onion to it until nice brown color. Now add the ginger garlic paste, salt, red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and cumin seeds to it. Cook for one minute stirring continuously and then add chopped tomatoes to it. Cook for about five minutes and then add mincemeat to it. Cook it for 10-15 minutes or until it gets golden brown color and add the chopped green chilies and chopped coriander leaves. Mix well and remove from the heat. Now squeeze the bitter melons, wash out, rinse water, and fill them with the mincemeat. Wrap a thread around the filled biter melons and fry them in oil on medium heat. Delicious stuffed bitter melons are ready to serve. Enjoy!

Sloppy Joes


Ingredients:

·         2 pound lean ground beef
·         ½ cup chopped green bell pepper
·         1 tsp garlic powder
·         6 tsp brown sugar
·         ½ cup chopped onion
·         1 ½ cup ketchup
·         2 tsp prepared yellow mustard
·         Salt to taste
·         Black pepper to taste

Preparation:
            Take a medium skillet and put it on medium heat. Cook the ground beef, onion, and chopped green pepper in it until they are brown. Then drain off the liquid. Now stir in the garlic powder, mustard, brown sugar, and Ketchup and mix well. Reduce heat, and simmer for about half an hour. Season with salt and pepper. Sloppy Joes are ready. Make a sandwich and enjoy!
