Easy Apple Pie Recipe

For Pie Crust
Ingredients:
·         2 ½  cups all-purpose flour, plus extra for rolling
·         1 cup (8 ounces) unsalted butter, very-cold, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
·         1 teaspoon sugar
·         6 to 8 tbsp ice water
·         1 teaspoon salt
Method for Crust:
Combine flour, salt, and sugar in a food processor and pulse to mix. Add butter and pulse 6 to 8 times, until mixture resembles coarse meal, with pea size pieces of butter. Add ice water 1 tbsp at a time, pulsing until mixture just begins to clump together. If the dough doesn't hold together, add a little more water and pulse again. Too much water will make the crust tough. Roll it to make crusts.
Filling:
Ingredients:
·         1 ½ kg fresh apples, peeled, cored and chunked
·         ½ tbsp lemon juice
·         ½ tbsp softened butter
·         1 cup sugar, powdered
·         1 tsp cinnamon powder
·         ¼ tbsp corn starch
·         1 tsp sugar powder
·         2 tsp melted butter
Preparation:
Place the chunked apples in a large bowl and add the lemon juice. Mix well. Add sugar powder and cinnamon powder and mix well. Then add corn starch and mix so that corn starch is no more visible. Now take a glass bowl large enough to place the pie crust exactly fit in it. On it place the apples and pour onto it the remaining juice that is left in the bowl after taking out the apples chunks. Now make the pea size pieces of butter and place them on the apples. Top with other pie crust. Press down the pie crust edges to blend with each other. Make small cuts on the top so that the moisture may evaporate from the pores. Then brush the melted butter on the top crust and dust with sugar powder. Bake for about 1 hour at 375 F. Apple Pie is ready.

·         2/3 cup milk
·         1 tsp salt
·         2 eggs
For Filling:
·         1 ½ cup crushed corn flakes

·         14 apples, peeled, cored and sliced
·         2 tsp cinnamon powder
For Glaze:
·         2 tsp lemon juice
·         1 cup sugar, powdered
Preparation:
Crust:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. take a large bowl and combine flour, sugar, salt, and baking soda. Cut-in 1 cup vegetable shortening. Separate the eggs. Place egg yolks in a one cup measuring cup and add milk to the egg yolks until milk and egg yolks equal 2/3 cups. Blend the egg mixture into flour mixture until it reaches a dough consistency. Divide the dough in half. Roll out 1/2 of the dough to fit the bottom of the jelly roll pan. The crust will be very thin.
Filling:
Cover crust with crushed corn flakes. Cover corn flakes with prepared apple slices. In separate bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle evenly over apple slices. Roll out the remaining dough and cover the apple mixture with it. The dough will be very thin. Beat remaining egg whites until they appear semi-stiff. Brush the crust with the egg whites. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes. Remove from oven.
Glaze:
Take a small bowl and combine powdered sugar and lemon juice for glaze. Blend until smooth. Adjust consistency. Add lemon juice if it is too dry and add powdered sugar if it is too runny. Drizzle glaze over the top of the warm bars. Bars can be served warm or cold, and they freeze well, too. Apple Pie Bars are ready to serve.

Chicken With Apple Stuffing

Ingredients:
·         2 ½  cup apple juice
·         1 bunch green onion, chopped
·         4 tbsp parsley, minced
·         4 granny smith apples, peeled and chopped
·         8 boneless chicken breasts, halved
·         4 tbsp butter
·         1 cup whole wheat bread crumbs
·         ½ tsp salt
·         2 tbsp cornstarch
·         Hot cooked rice
Recipe:
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tbsp of the butter. Add the onions and sauté, stirring for about 3 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in half cup apple juice and the chopped apples, bread crumbs, parsley, and salt. Mix well. Remove mixture to a bowl and set aside. Wipe pan. Flatten the chicken breast halves by pounding between pieces of plastic wrap (I put them in an open food storage bag, one at a time, and gently pound until flat). Divide the crumb mixture evenly over the center of each piece of chicken. Roll up, tucking the ends under. Secure rolls with toothpicks. Add the remaining butter to the pan over medium-high heat. When the butter is melted, add the chicken rolls. Cook until browned on all sides. Add half cup apple juice. Cover, reduce heat to a simmer and cook slowly for 45 minutes. Transfer to a serving dish and remove the toothpicks. Add the cornstarch to the pan juices; stir until smooth. Stir in the remaining apple juice; bring to a boil. Cook stirring until the sauce is thickened. Serve chicken rolls with hot cooked rice and sauce. Garnish with parsley sprigs, if desired.
